rainbow? I thought it was “red sky at night, etc?” well, not night, it would have to be sunset or dusk, otherwise the color is “night” whatever the color is when it is night. Rain, we need some of that. We have not had rain in a couple of weeks and things are very dry here, lawns turning brown after weeks of lush green because we had twice the amount of rain than normal.

Saying you haven’t had rain in a couple of weeks to someone in New Mexico is cruel and tactless. Even though it’s raining today a normal comment from a New Mexican might be ‘Haven’t had rain in eight or nine months’! I’ll call you tonight or tomorrow night.
